Hard Drive Access

I am trying to run Norton System Works 2003's
diskedit.exe, but whenever I run the program, Windows
comes up with an error saying that the program will
terminate because it is not allowed direct access to the
hard drive. How can I configure my computer to accept
direct access to the hard drive?

You have to boot up using a DOS boot disk - XP and any NT based OS does not
allow direct access to hardware.

Bob, Diskedit.exe is a DOS based program and WinXP does not have DOS but
uses command line emulator.
