Hard Drive Access Denied

I bought an OEM version of Windows XP Pro to replace a suspicious version
loaded on my machine. I have a 2nd hard drive - Maxtor 200GB. Prior to
loading the new Windows XP, I copied all of my imprtant data files to the 2nd
hard drive. I simply copied entire folders; the program file folder,
Documents and settings, etc. I then disconnected this 2nd drive. I used
wipedrive to clean my master hard drive. I then loaded Windows XP on the
master drive. After loading drvers etc., I plugged in the 2nd drive. All of
my files are visible in Explorer but when I try to access any of them I get
an " user does not have access privileges, access denied" error message. Or I
may get "disk full or check that file is not read only" message. Quicken
software found my data files but could not validate them...What has happened
Here? What do I need to do to gain access to these important files. (If only
I had known about F.A.S.T. before I dithis!)

It's an issue of ownership. From Start go to Help and Support and type
in ownership or see these links.
