Hard disk problem

hell
I used the windows xp restore point and after that i cannot boot anymore.Windows gives the error message :'no system disk or disk error(there is not any floppy).I also tried with the windows cd but i cannot format the hard drive.it gives the screen :'Hard disk (c:) free space ... But i cannot do the format.Please help me.Thanks in advance
 
Try going into the bios and change the boot sequence to cd rom firstboot.
Boot with in the Windows cd in the cd drive.

I did it.I booted from cd but i'm not able to recover or to format the hard dis
Help me please
