Hard Disk Problem

I have bought a PC with this features: P4 3.0Ghz, 1GB RAM, 200GB HDD. I have
installed Microsoft Windows XP Professional after creating two partitions
with the Maxtor utility, each one of 100GB.

After installing WinXP I noticed that in D: that is 97GB large I have only
6GB free. But selecting all the files in D: (including the hided ones) the
total is of 25GB. So I wonder WHERE ARE THE OTHER 66GB???

I have already activated the 48bit LBA support but I didn't noticed any
difference. I also tried to do an unique partition, but there are always
these 66GB missing. Can anyone help?

48 bit LBA is only supported by SP1 or SP2. Create a slipstream CD with SP2
on it and reinstall.

My WInXP Pro is SP2 updated!

Use an ancillary program that can see the drive and help you determine
what's goin' on.

I'd suggest Partition Manager.

Good luck.

Have a nice one...
