hard disk partitions

I have my main hard disk (c partitioned. I would like
to delete the logical partition (d and get the space
back on the c: drive. Can I use fdisk or how do I do this
on xp pro?

You can not do that with native Windows tools without destroying all
data.
You need a 3rd party application to modify the partitions to preserve
data:

Back-up important data just in case.
