Hard disk number

[Ham Pastrami]

I have 2 hard disks in my system, and my system event log shows that one of
them is having errors. But I'm not sure which disk is being referred to. It
is identified as

Device\Harddisk1\DR1

in the event message. The disk management (compmgmt.msc) window identifies
Disk 0 as my drive E and Disk 1 as my C/D drives.

However, boot.ini refers to

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

as the boot drive which is the C drive. So two different sources have their
own idea of disk 0... I think. So I'm not certain which disk is actually
having the errors.

Never mind, seems like the disk manager has the right numbers.

I'd download and run a disk diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's
web site.
