Hard disk driver

Can someone tell me the name of standard had disk driver that comes with XP
home? I believe it is corrupted and wanted to reinstall it from my CD, thank
you.

Why do you think that the driver is corrupted?..

I was installing some drivers from a CD that came with my PC. I had to
reinstall windows, and was just getting everything back to my previous state.
During the install of the driver CD, everything locked up, cannot even get to
safe mode now. In recovery console, I looked at enabled services and saw
IntelATA - Intel ultra ata controller
I thought this was the most suspcious. If I can just boot, then maybe I can
get back to a restore point and recover. If you have any ideas for me it
would be greatly appreciated.
