Thanks guys, I am truly knocked out :)

What did I get? Money and clothes, mostly, def gonna buy Brothers In Arms tomorrow and give it a try.

What did I do? Predictably, me and a few mates had a drink at the Cutty Sark. Going out Friday with a few more for a (hopefully better) celebration.

How old am I? Too old ;)

The year I was born, the following films were released:

A Streetcar Named Desire

An American In Paris

The African Queen

The Ford Anglia & Ford Prefect were the most affordable and popular cars in the UK.

The term ‘Rock & Roll’ was introduced by American DJ Alan Freed.

The book, ‘Catcher In The Rye’ by J. D. Salinger was published.

Libya gained independence from Italy.

And the Festival Of Britain took place.

Work it out yourselves :p

Again, thank you all, every one of you, for the good wishes. I am touched and rather humbled

Thanks folks :)

Yes, you both be right, I was born in '51

Getting old really ain't all it's cracked up to be, in fact it's awful, lol ;)

Trouble is, I still think I'm twenty-something, which may or may not be a good thing :D

Got some more pressies, audio CD's: Kasabian; Bloc Party and The Kaiser Chiefs :)

Haven't bought Brothers In Arms yet, been working, will probably get it over the weekend.

I must say flopp's your pretty way out there in the modern era of music, being 54 years old and still recieving and buying modern rock and pop albums and appreciating the music as well...

Good on ya dude...:D not many 54 year olds i know that will even talk about not alone listen to todays stuff being kicked out on the music scene....

I applaud your open-mindedness...:thumb:

Also (i am not being rude when i say this) but you must be the oldest regular fps player i know, who greets the next new game with as much gusto as a 16 year old...keep it up mate..I've just turned 38 and i thought i was young at heart and was doing well still playing the latest games and listening to some of todays quality music but you beat me hands down....;)

Needs more senior people like us methinks....
