handwriting recognition problems

Just installed the Microsoft office 2003..my wife and I are students. On her
computer using her CD was able to install it and the handwriting recognition
toolbar appears at the bottom. For my computer it did not automatically come
on..I have since installed manually a couple of times according to the
Microsoft Office help information..any help appreciated. EM

G'Day EM,

To the best of my knowledge, the features you refer to are NOT
part of Office, but of Windows Xp itself.

Right-click the (Windows) Task bar, point to "Toolbars", then click
"Language bar".

Then right-click the Language Bar (on the Task bar) and choose
"Restore the Language bar".

Thanks for the info Pat..I shall play around with it..strangely enough I some
how got it to appear down at the bottom like I wanted before I received this
post; nevertheless, you may be correct that it is of XP and not office.
