Halo

I've installed Halo and it seems to run fine until I
start to do battle. Then it just slows down to almost a
complete halt. I have a GeoForce FX 5200 with a 2.6ghz
Pentium 4 800mghz with 512 ddr ram. Any suggestions
about what is going on.

Be sure you do not have any background applications running and CPU usage is
less then 2% when idle with ALT+CTL+DEL. Run msconfig and see if a lot of
crap is being run at startup and uncheck. Run Ad-Aware from
http://lavasoftusa.com and remove parasites from system. Lower the
resolution in game and turn off fancy video options.
