Halo 2 BSOD and work around

Heres a problem with the new halo2 and a work around,

Machine

AMD 5600 on ABIT board with 2 gbs Ram, 8800gts 320 mb- Windows Vista
Ultimate

Symptom

Halo 2 crashes and forces reboot right after loading the bungie Screen.
Happens every time. Updated all drivers to newest without success.

However if I press space to prevent the bungie logo from loading and go
directly to main menu. Halo 2 runs fine. If anybody else has this problem is
there a fix?

The other question is there a bug in the bungie logo screen that causes
this?

I had the same problem. Workaround worked.

Intel Duo Core, nForce 680i SLI, 4 gbs Ram, 8800 gts, Windows Vista
Ultimate. Used workaround.
