Half-Life 2 Thief Speaks?

(From Half-Life News)

The so called "Anonymous Leaker" that was possibly responsible for the
distribution of the Half-Life 2 beta yesterday ( And also allegedly the one
who stole from Valve to begin with ), has made a statement.

Read more for full details...

Anonymous Leaker:

"To all those saying HL2 was delayed because of the hacking
action, ill just remind you that what was leaked is what Valve has, nothing
more and nothing less, so its pretty good to understand it wasnt finished
yet.
Also I'd like to point out the E3 [demo] was one big fake by
Valve. Ever tried to kill that soldier in physicstown ? Notice the door will
still get kicked ? No scripted sequences ?

To everyone saying this is no Beta: I'd like to point out that
THIS is what you wanted Valve to release on 9/30/03, theres no such thing as
a much better release in Valves network! "

To Valve: I suggest you stop lying to your customers about how
much was stolen/compromised, or I'll have to release everything just to
prove my point. And you know what you got, as I do."

Neither I nor Half-Life News, in any way, supports the theft and
release of Valve's software. That being said, I am also tired of the obvious
half-truths and whole lies that Valve PR has given out in regards to many
things Half-Life 2 related.

does anyone really care IF Valve lied or such? Its their business. Let the
dudes finish their masterpiece in peace ;) To the ppl screaming for the game
to be realeased - shut the hell up and wait you little geeks.
And as for scripted sequences such as the door being kicked by a 'ghost' -
ffs who gives a hard one? Have you stopped to think deadlines may have given
birth to that anomaly. They needed a demo out for E3, corners were cut. Who
cares. I'm not going to cry myself to sleep knowing a certain door wasnt
actually launched into action from a literal boot. Get a life, ****head.
Sorry about the language, just stupidity annoys me, and I think many others.

It's pretty important that they lied.

It means the difference between hl2 being mind blowing ai that sees you in a
room and kicks the doors in, and a scripted sequence made to fool the world.

Obviously it doesnt mean much, they might hve scripted their intent - what
was going to happen in the real game..

No-one is crying themselves to sleep over this, its just that they did lie
about that - so what else did they lie about.

I agree. Many criminals will typically try to justify there crime by
blaming somebody else such as this case, "Valve made me do it". Too bad so
sad!

It's Me Again

I just hope Half Life 2 doesn't end up like Unreal 2. Supposed to be a kick
ass game but barely decent.
