I have seen a lot of messages about how a corrupt boot.ini will cause an
error on startup stating that the hal.dll is missing. Supposedly this can be
fixed by booting from the Windows XP cd and doing a recovery. However, when
boot from the CD,I get the welcome screen, but no options. Does anyone have
any ideas
