GUI-Based FTP

I'm a real novice at this, & the following is probably a
really stupid question, but here it goes anyway ...

Does Windows XP Professional include a Graphical User
Interface (GUI)-based File Transfer Protocol (FTP)?

If not, what do any of you recommend? I see from
searching Google that there are many GUI-based FTP
programs that I can download from the Internet for free.
Which one is best?

Yes, either do the "add a network place" in "my network places" and add
ftp://ftpsite.com, or just enter such a url in Internet Explorer.

No - but one I have used for a long time is FTP Explorer at www.ftpx.com
which behaves just like Windows Explorer. Once connected to the FTP
server you can drag and drop files from explorer/My Computer windows
into it and vice versa. And make and access subfolders on the site just
like in Explorer. Free for Home and Educational use, and I regard the
fact that it has hardly ever been upgraded as a good recommendation that
it was right first time
