The guest account (XP Home Edition) is there strictly for troubleshooting.
This should not be used normally speaking. Any user accounts should be
added.

With respect, the Guest account is not for troubleshooting. It is an
account meant to be used by someone not a regular user on the computer
who needs to sit down and do a few things. It is usually disabled in
professional operating systems and is not meant to be used when you are
feeling hospitable. Here is a definition of the Guest account:

Greg - don't use the Guest account. Make a new user account and call it
"visitor" or "friends" (or anything else you like).
