guest user problems

Hi, I have upgraded to XP Home.. no problems. However I want to set up the
Guest user to be able to access the internet... can't seem to find out how!
When I am logged on - no problem, but as soon as you switch to Guest user..
you can't access the internet. I go through Tiscali broadband (via dial-up).
If I try as Guest..iit tells me the modem is disconnected.. even thought its
actually plugged in and working under my own account.
any advice? instructions?
thanks.

Hi

The Guest Account should only be used when absolutely necessary!!!! It is
turned off by default for a very good reason. I wouldn't advocate trying to
connect to the Internet via the Guest Account!!

Oh and change your ISP - Tiscali are cr*p. Try Bulldog:

Create a Limited User account called "visitor" (or something similar) and
use that. The built-in guest account is a security risk.

We signed up, got a working phone & broadband for 1 week. After that
the
phone was dead along with the broadband.

After being left on hold far longer than anyone would appreciate, we
were promised that it would be fixed by a given date, the dates came
and went, and still no fix, this happened 4 times. After that we
switched back to the BT phone line.

We are still waiting for a refund from bulldog, and have now been
without a phone and broadband for 6 weeks -

Great, job thanks bulldog.

Quite posibly the worst ISP I've ever had the misfortune to deal with
