Guest account is set to Administrator

My guest account is set as administrator. How do I change the account to
Standard User?

Hmmm.

Guest account is by default in the Guests group AND disabled. Why do you
want to use guest, set up another user.

Guest account is attacked by hackers.

However, try right mouse click computer, manage and then users and set
permissions to guest here... of course you are going to disable it... ;-)

The Vista Help section on guest account states that a guest cannot
install hardware or software, or change settings or create a password.

I can't find anything to tell me what kind of user the Guest is.
What do you see that suggests Administrator?

You can only turn it on or off, it is off. Just curious as to why it is set
to administrator. A password cannot be set and I feel better about not
having an administrator without a password.

I am only a home user all this network stuff is not for the average user and
designed to be very confusing.

Sorry for my stupidity.

When you turn it on it lists it as administrator. I became aware of it when
I had company that wanted to use my computer and decided to just turn it on
for him to use. I was just curious as to why it was administrator. I have
since created a user account.

butting in here:
I just turned on the guest account, it just says
Guest
Guest Account, nothing about being any kind of account (ie administrator or
standard)

Turning it off again it reports
Guest
Guest account is off

I am at
control panel
user accounts and family safety
add or remove user accounts

(Vista home premium)

I to am attempting to switch from administror to a standard account because
with an administrator account you have to have at least two accounts. Does
anyone have the same issue? When I attempt to switch account, I can't
because it freezes up on you and you can't switch from administrator to
standard.
