Guest account internet dial-up

This may well be a common question in which case I
apologise, but I am sure there must be a solution however
complicated as the help files suggest. My only problem is
no where on the internet can I find the solution and the
help files only state that such and such can be done
giving no indication of how it can be done.

My problem is that the guest account on windows XP pro by
default does not have the privileges to dial up or
disconnect from the internet and the only method of giving
the guest account internet access like that is to connect
to the internet with the administrators account and then
log into the guest account.

I read in the help files that the guest account comes
under its own group called the guest group or something,
and that it is possible to change the permissions of the
group to that of a normal limited account.

As far as I can tell there are two ways that logically it
should be possible to get around this problem so that I
can do what I want to do.

I do not mind having another limited account and simply
calling it and using it as a guest account as long as I
can either suspend it ( 'turn it off' ) without loosing
it's files and desktop settings, or skip the welcome
screen on boot to automatically log into the
administrators account. Alternatively I must find out how
to change the guest permissions so that they can dial up
without my being here.

If anyone could give specific instructions on how to solve
this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, thanks, but as I described in my notice I was already
aware of this way around. However it STILL DOES NOT FIX MY
PROBLEM! Yes if I am near my computer the person I allow
to use it to check their email will not be able to browse
through my personal files anyway. No what I need is a
solution that will allow someone to access the internet
when I'm not there, and I'd prefer to be able to choose if
I confronted with the welcome screen or not.

The Guest account in XP is severely restricted and can only run apps. This
is all by design, allowing the GA to log on is contrary to what that account
was designed for. If you want another user to have this ability, you will
need to assign them as a Limited User with explicit permissions.
