grr intelli mouse double clicks really fast...i've treid everything

xphome.sp1 m$ intelli mouse optical latest drivers

when ever i double click the mouse double clicks really
fast.

i've gone into my reg and modified my DoubleClickSpeed
under control>mouse to 200, then i check my mouse
properties>Activities tab and it's set itself to really
fast; which i change back to the middle.

then i check my reg and it's gone all the way upto 2000
on DoubleClickSpeed

eh?

i've tried tweakUI with no effect and i've uninstalled
CurserXP( which i thought might cos a problem), and re-
installed the mouse, but with no effect aswell :/

any help would be great.

also these newsgroups are really badly laid out; damn i
don't even know if i'm asking in the right place!
