Group Policy..

Sushil

I am having a problem while trying to edit the domain
controller group policy from built in administrator. When
i try to edit the group policy of domain controller having
the GPO Default Domain Controllers Policy, I get the
following error:

"Failed to open the Group Policy Object. You may not have
appropriate rights" with details: The system can not find
the path specified.

How could I solve this? Is this a error by design?
Couldn't we edit Domain Controller's Group Policy? pls
help.

Check, that your SYSVOL share exists on the server. You can also try to open
\\yourdomain.local\sysvol from explorer. If you get any errors check
eventlog and post back errors you are getting.

Thanks a lot for your solution. About your query, yes I
can explore the \\mydomain\sysvol from the explorer and
sysvol share is there too. But when i tried this the event
viewer logs the following event error in the system log
event viewer:

Source: MRxSmb
Event ID: 3019
Description: The redirector failed to determine the
connection type.

Hope to get reply soon.
Thanks!
