Group Policy settings

A new user and computer has been added to the network. Upon the user logging
in, it is noted that Group Policy settings do not seem to be properly applied
to the computer.

What tools are available to troubleshoot the issue?

Do the computer and the user reside in their correct OUs to which the
GPs are linked?
What tools are available to troubleshoot the issue?

rsop.msc could be a good point to start from. Maybe the eventlog would
give you a hint.
