Group Policy Inconsistant

G

Guest

Why is it when I force users to go to a proxy server with group policy, that some users get this settings and others dont. We are on a Windows 2000 domain all DC's are at SP4 and clients are Windows 2000 Pro w/ SP3 or 4.

Thanks,

Hi Greg,

The most common cause of Group Policy issues is DNS. Make sure that
all of your clients are pointing to your Active Directory DNS servers
and no where else. You can also try to create a userenv.log file
which usually points to the root cause of a general failure to
enumerate the list of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) that apply to the
user.
