Group Policy in Windows XP Home Edition

I am unable to network my two computers because one of them is blocking
access because it is using "Group Policy" which I understand is not part of
XP Home Edition. I have no problem communicating with the other computer
(which doesn't show being controlled by Group Policy). Both have SP2. Is
there a way to get rid of the Group Policy or at least be able to modify it
so I can network my computers and share files?

Eldon,

With Windows XP Home, you should have only Local Policy. Group Policy is a
domain concept, and an XP Home computer can't join a domain. The 2 Local Policy
entries, that I have heard of most, are "Access this computer from the network",
and "Deny access to this computer from the network"; but there are numerous
others.

If the above doesn't help, try and describe with more detail what "one of them
is blocking access because it is using "Group Policy"" refers to. What is the
exact error that you're observing?
