Group Policy / Firewall

We're running SBS 2003 and all XP workstations. Group Policy has control of
the workstation's Firewall and on some workstations we need to allow the
users to have control. Where in the server Group Policy Management can we
release control to the workstations?

Thanks for your time and interest.

You might be able to do that but only for users that are local
administrators which usually you want to avoid but that is your call. Look
at the Group Policy options under computer configuration/administrative
templates/network/network connections/Windows Firewall for domain and or
standard depending on your needs. Domain profile is what is used when the
computer detects that it is connected to the domain and standard is what is
used when it detects it is not connected to the domain such as for laptop
users. The link below has more details if you look at the section for
Windows Firewall. --- Steve
