Gridlines

Hi, first time here.

I am using Excel2000 on XP Home.

I have a spreadsheet and I would like to colour the background of some
of the rows. However, when I do this the gridlines disappear and I
can't see how to get them back. Changing the grid colour from
Automatic does not help.

Any thoughts please?

you will need to use a border for the cell(s)

Format | Cells | Border | choose your options or use the Borders icon on the
Formatting tool bar.

Yes - changing the color of a cell will cover up the gridlines. Th
only way I know to compensate for this is to format the colored cell
with borders in the same color and thickness as your gridlines
