Gridlines

How do I make it so the gridlines do not appear on any
excel spreadsheet that I open. When I uncheck this
option, under Tools-Options-View, it dissapears, but when
I open a new excel spreadsheet, they appear again. Is
there any where for this option to be set permanently?

See if this works...save it on your default template (most
likely named "Book.xlt". That's found under "Application
Data", "Microsoft", "Excel", "XLSTART". Anything saved in
this folder automatically starts when you open Excel.
