Green Volume Bars Appear at Shutdown

For some reason I have Green Volume Bars Appearing on my
Desktop during Shutdown, this just started today. They
do not appear when I select the little speaker incon,
only at shutdown that I am aware of. How can I turn this
off? Help appreciated. Regards, Bill

Perhaps you have a sound-related program running in the background that
doesn't want to exit gracefully? Just before you shut down, open Task
Manager and see what's running.
