Type 03C0 then ALT+X to enter the unicode character ?
If you need to type a lot of Greek, then setup a Greek keyboard in regional
settings and display the Greek layout on screen with Windows OnScreen
keyboard.

How can I type the lower case Greek letter pi?

Or Alt+960 ... The decimal value of Unicode is not commonly used though.
I only happen to know that one by heart because I need pi often, and also
often use it to check if some context (editor, dialog...) supports Unicode.
