Gray box appears

I have Windows XP, Outlook 2002 and MSWord 2002. When I
move from one program to another sometimes a gray
rectangular box appears on the page - about 1" X 5".
This also sometimes happens when I open a document in
Word. Also, sometimes when I move to another document
this same size box remains on my screen with text from
the previous document. You can't do anything to get rid
of it except close all the programs and reboot. Help!?

Might be your virtual memory settings.
Best to change it to system managed size.
