graphics won't show

I am viewing in print layout, picture placeholder is not checked, drawing box
is checked. Graphics are there but will not show. They do print. I have
Office XP Word 2002. My Word seemed to work perfect until I loaded the
FrontPage program. Not sure if one is related to the other.

I experienced this problem for quite a while last year.

It improved enormously when I updated my Video
driver.

When, for a separate reason, I reformatted my HDD
and did a clean install of Win Xp and all my Apps, it
disappeared for good.

Bottom line - it's not a Word problem but a display/
driver/Win Xp problem.

This appears to be attributable to the graphics driver, with recent ATI
display adapters and the Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family
causing particular problems. In the case of the latter, the latest driver

appears to fix the problem. If you have the problem with a different display
adapter and are sure you are using the latest driver, then try reducing the
display's hardware acceleration.
