graphics will print but not the text in columns. why?

my son has created a one page word document including graphics and text in
text boxes. The graphics will print but the text dosnt appear
Help?
 
If the graphics are inline, then the problem is that "Drawing objects" is
not checked on the Print tab of Tools | Options.
