graphics card

I have downloaded a game for my son (medieval II total war) on my computer
but an error message keeps popping up (this program requires graphics card
with pixel shader 1.1 or better) what does this mean? How do I get it? Is
it easy to download from a website? Is it free? Will he ever be able to
play this on his computer? Thanks for your help.

It means that your graphics card (which you have not provided us any
details) is not compatible with the game. There is nothing you can download
to fix the problem, you need a new graphics card, that is hardware, it has
to be purchased and installed.

It means you will have to purchase the card from a local computer store or
online. It is hardware.

First - make sure you have the latest video card driver from the video card
manufacturer.

Once you have verified you have the latest driver installed - if the game
still says that - it is highly unlikely said computer will support the game
you have downloaded without upgradxing to some other video card - if it can
be upgraded at all.
