Graph Lines ?

when I open Microsoft Word 2003 I get a page that looks like graph paper. I
deleted the "normal.dot" and restarted but it is still there. It is in the
Print, Layout, View. If I click in Normal View the lines are not there. Can
someone help me to get rid of the lines? thank you.

Display the Drawing toolbar and choose Grid from the Drawing menu. Clear the
check box for "Show gridlines on screen."

Thank you so much. It worked. I remember putting grid lines on a paper to
print something I needed but just didn't remember how I did it and know I
didn't save the doc. I just couldn't figure out why it was still there.
Really appreciate the help.
