GPO

Is there a way to have this installed on every machine
and be able to manage it from a centralized location?
Using GPO's to manage the settings.

No. This beta product is not designed for this kind of environment and
usage.

Microsoft has announced that there will be such a product with similar
capabilities to this beta product available, for a cost, at some unspecified
time in the future. Nothing further has been announced.

Shame on MS for not making this part of their built in
security for the enterprise.

The right way to manage this would be with a GPO and an
updated .adm file like we have for the xp firewall.

We have this wonderful infrastructure built to manage our
computers and users in a large enterprise, a way to manage
the XP firewall and its settings, but they are going to
make something different for enterprise anti-spyware?

I can definately see myself writing a custom gpo to manage
the individual copies in our enterprise...

I think I'd wait a bit--at least until both the individual and enterprise
products are finalized, before complaining too much.

Not complaining, just responding to the report that the
individual copies would be free but it would be $$$ for
the enterprise management.

I'll keep my fingers crossed until I read an
announcement :)

That sounds like the right attitude? I wonder if we did a survey for the
local equiivalent of "crossed fingers" in an international forum like
this--what else we'd hear about?
