GPO: unable to load office assistant

Can someone please tell me if this is common problem and
can it be corrected.

I installed office office 2000 to the OU through GPO /
msi. It works except that the first time I click on MS
Word it comes up with this error during install -

Error - unable to load office assistant

It only happens the first time you bring up word from each
computer. After first time, word and all other programs
seem to work just fine.

Have installed Office 2000 at least 100 times via GPO and
have never seen this. Arethere any event ids? Have you
tried and of the GPO tools, like GPOTOOL or gpresult?
