GPO for SUS how to check if its working!

I'm running before SUS without Active Directory and what
i'm doing is i'm installing SUS client to deploy Windows
update to my W2k prof boxes.

Now I have AD implemented in my network and I enabled a
GPO to deploy my SUS. How can I test or check if my SUS is
working using my GPO and not the registtry client
configure before.
Please advise. Do i need still a local admin in order to
install SUS using GPO or the Policy conf in Windows update
is enough.
cheers

If you open the automatic updates icon in the control panel and it is greyed
out for changes it means that it is being controlled by AD.

In the WINNT folder of the workstation, look for the Windows update
log..Hope this helps

Thanks.
I checked it and its greyed out. I remember however that
this machine was running a Windows Update using a Sus
client before i deploy a GPO update.
How can I check to make sure that client is using the AD
GPO and not the Susclient?

Another Q. Do i need an admin rights on my local machine
for my AD GPO Windows update to work?
