Hi

I have the following senario

Two Domains.

All users are in Domain1 wich is a 2k domain and computers
in Domain2 wich is a 2k3 domain.

I enabled crossforest policy on the computers in domain1.
Still the user gpo won't apply.

In the logs I get event id 1058 and 1030

I can't browse \\domain.local\sysvol. I checked the rights
and they seams totaly okej

I can browse \\dc\sysvol without any problems.

I tried both from a 2k and a XP machine.

ANy tips what it can be

How are you resolving names across domains? In order to use resources in
other domains, you need to be able to access a DNS server that contains that
domain's resource (SRV) records.

One way of doing this is for a DNS server in one domain, to hold a read-only
(secondary zone) copy of the other domain's DNS.

In order to browse across domains, I believe you will need WINS.

THe dns that are used holdes the zones for domain2 and it
got forwarders to the other zone so should not be a
problem.
