GPMC Does not install

Hi,

I downloaded the GPMC with SP1. I have Windows XP SP1 installed. I have the
updated version of gpedit.dll (5.1.2600.1186) as per Q326469 installed. So
everything appears to be as it should.

But when I run the gpmc.msi install it gets all the way to the end of the
install and coughs out an error

An error occured during the installation of assembly componet
{303994aba...........} HRESULT: -2147024894

When I click OK it rolls back the whole install and I cannot install it. I
have tried downloading the file again but same problem.

Does anyone have an answer to this?

Upgrade to xpsp2.

Does that mean it cannot install on WIn XP SP 1 even though the notes say
that it should be able to?
