I am using WinXP Pro and when starting Gpedit I get the following error
message. How do I reinstall the Group Policy Editor?

Snap-in failed to initialize. Name:Group Policy
CLSID:{8FC0B734-A0E1-A7D3-0000F87581E3}

Snap-in Creation Failed.
The snap-in is not created, it may not be installed properly.

Thanks Kelly. Once again you nailed it. I should have looked harder at
your website. I completely overlooked that line.

hi, i have that same error, tried your solution but still not working. Any addition solutions?

thanks
