Do you own an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 printer?

If so, we'd like to invite you to participate in a brief survey about

consumer technology purchases. The survey will require about 15
minutes of your time. We're not selling anything-we just want to
hear
your opinions. We value them as coming from an experienced digital
photography enthusiast.

Please follow this link to our survey:

Thanks!

I just did a bit of research on Doxus Research. They appear to be an
international market research company. I don't know who their
sponsor/client is for this survey, but they do seem to have strong
connections with Asia and high tech.

One interesting thing I did find on their website, which gives me some
pause for thought about how well protected we are when we participate in
these surveys, compared to countries like Japan, who apparently has
recently issued new privacy legislation regarding marketing surveys.

Here's a section from Doxus' website:

"New privacy restrictions for qualitative research in Japan (7 September
2005)

Japan's stringent new privacy protection legislation enacted in April of
this year will have an immediate impact on research conducted in that
market. Vendors conducting focus groups and other in-person, qualitative
methods can no longer release documentation that includes participants'
identifying information such as full names, names of employers or
contact information. In some cases, release of information about
participants will also require a reciprocal disclosure of the research
sponsor identity to the participant. Videotapes of sessions can be made
as back-ups for the local vendor to retain, but cannot be distributed to
clients or US vendors who subcontract with local Japanese vendors. See
http://www.privacyexchange.org/japan/japanindex.html for more information."
