Google Web accelerator alternatives?

I tried squid yesterday, downloaded, did the config file, tried to
start it but it gave me an error. So anyhow, I'll look into it later,
but it certainly required more work than the easy install of GWA,
though I suspect far more trustworthy.

Anyhow, do you guys know of any freeware alternatives to GWA?

If you are using Firefox, you could try FireTune

If you are using Internet Explorer, you could try using a Browser Shell like
Avant Browser http://www.avantbrowser.com/ .
