Google Maps makes IE crash

Why, when I type in an address into the address bar and get Google, Yahoo and
MapQuest returns, does the Google link always make Internet Explorer freeze,
requiring me to use the Task Manager to shut it down? When I submit the crash
info, a box with a microsoft link pops up with more info. The resulting page
tells me either I have spyware or I don't have the most recent IE service
packs. Neither is true. I have no spyware and I have already upgraded to the
latest service packs for IE and Windows. Wassup with Google Maps? And why do
MS knowledge base be illin'?
