Google Earth FREE - Requires Login???

I just downloaded the Free version of Google Earth. When I launch it I am
asked for my userid/password! The problem is that I don't have one - and
you're not supposed to need one with the free version!

NOTE: I have never downloaded/used Keyhole - so that's not the problem. (I
have added google earth to my firewall, so that's not the problem either.)

Can anyone help me?

This happens occasionally to me. I just put it down to the Google server
being busy or something.
