I've got Livingston/Thurrott's Windows VISTA Secrets, and it is ok,
nothing great. Anyone have any of the other tomes on VISTA and think it
is worth a recommendation?

I checked MS's site and found brief descriptions of its VISTA books, but
there were not enough details listed to induce me to buy.

Thanks.

It depends on whether you want a highly technical book or one more
geared toward end users. You didn't say.

I can highly recommend both "Vista - The Missing Manual" and "Vista -
The Missing Manual - Starters" by David Pogue. The Starters version has
less technical detail obviously but is still excellent.

Agreed. It depends so much on the individual. I think the best bet, if
possible, is to go to the local big box book store and peruse. If that is
not possible, take the recommendations posted in reply.
