Gone Blank on formula - please help

Sorry but I have done this hundreds of times and have suddenly gone blank on
the formula I use:

I have a Totals column and a Today column - I want to change the amounts in
the Today column daily and that will then update the Total column. I'm sure
I used to use a hidden column for this but I have just suddenly gone
completely and utterly blank!

Hope someone can jog the memory

Nick,

I doubt you can do this simply with an auxiliary column. Two solutions
come in mind for such a problem:
1. Intentional circular references
2. VBA

A lot depends on how your Totals column is structured. What totals
does it contain?

The TOTALS contains the addition of Today plus the sub-total which would
have been in a hidden column with an equals cell to the Total cell, if that
makes sense
