Anyone know how to turn OFF thumbnail view in My Pictures, permanently?

I should've been more clear about my goal here. In Explorer, I know how to
view details. I'm referring to the thumbnails I see when a save a picture.
I'm running on a relatively slow machine, and it slows things down waiting
for the thumbnails to load.

With whatever file you want to change open simply right
click on it in a blank area and then put your cursor on
view and then select what you want. In this case I assume
you want details so click that and then close this little
window. Now at the top of your window click the
tools\folder options then the view tab and the apply to
all folders button. Now all your folders will only have
details when you open them or whatever else you have
chosen. Have fun.

OK...did that, and in Explorer, the thumbs are gone. But, when I save a NEW
file into the My Pictures folder, I'm still seeing thumbnails in the Save
dialog box. I can't seem to permently get rid of that feature, and it really
slows down the save process.
