Global Shortcut key to create new mail

Is there a way to say, press a shortcut key while I'm in other applications,
and it will activate my outlook2003(which is sitting in my system tray) to
start a new mail?

Currently I'd have to click on the icon in the system tray, wait for about
10 seconds for outlook to load up (very very slow), then click the new mail
button just to send an email... very inefficient.

Although it doesn't do global shortcuts, KnockOut works really well. Thanks
