Giving up!!! One last try!

Ok, so I've posted awhile back. I have transfered all my pictures to bitmp
now and redid the whole story line. I found a couple red X's and got those
fixed. Now when I try to save to a CD, I get the error message: "Project
contains source files that have been modified after import. Project cannot
be saved until source files are located or deleted."
So...my story line contains pictures from my camera that are now on a CD.
They have been altered with my cameras "PhotoImpression" software. I have
also made a couple of title pages with photoImpression and added captions. I
have a few pictures from the internet onto those title pages. I have music
from my own CD that is in Windows Media Player that have been imported into
MM. I have alot of transitions on just about all the photos, and have 3
title overlays.

So...with my limited mind capabilities I assume I have all the source files
located on my CPU. I would not think I should delete them.?? So where would
my problem be coming from and how can I fix it? I have spent several months
on this project with all the re-do's if this doesn't work soon I'm giving up
and going to give Bill Gates a piece of my mind!!! ;-)

Oh, also one last ?., Is it best to use the default save, or should I try to
save in a better quality mode? If so, which one is better to use for a CD?
I have enough disc and drive space. Thank you all very much.

I Guess no one has any ideas how to get passed this error message? Please,
any ideas will be helpful. Thanks

I will try to rephrase this...

I believe (I think) I have all my source files saved to my hard drive. (I
was trying to explaining where they came from). Every picture in my story
line is saved in a folder under My Documents. The music is saved in Windows
Media Player. The rest is from MM.

So..in the error message it says "the source files have been modified after
import." Does this mean after I've imported them into MM? Because I did
modify my pictures with the softwear that came with my digital camera.
Could there possibly be another
type of problem that would cause this error message? Is there a problem
with taking a picture or clipart from the internet and saving it to my
computer and using them?

Thank you, I hope this helps you understand my situation better. Sorry ;-(

John, thanks for the reply.
I'm not so sure I want to start the project all over...I already did once
when I changed my pictures from jpeg to bitmap!

I do have every picture saved in a folder on my hard drive in "My
Documents". The music is saved on hard drive within Windows Media Player.
There is nothing else in the story line. Alot of my pictures have text on
them that I did with "PhotoImpressions" (which is on the hard drive.)

I have defraged. and watched the task Manager. Both say I have 133.74 GB of
free space.
How do I verify the source file for the music? All of the pictures and
background frames are all saved as bitmaps.

I have tried saving to the computer first as a DV-AVI and it just keeps
going, going....and never gets anywhere.

Also, when the little bit that did save....if I tried to open it in the
default Windows Media Player it would not play.???

I'm sorry for all the questions...I have spent months on this and getting
very discouraged. Thank you.
