gif display

Some .gif images will not display on SOME internet
pages. All I see is the little red X in the corner.
Does the same in Internet Explorer and Netscape.
Please HELP.

it is not your problem. It is probably a broken link on the web site. Or
the pictures have been removed from their server.

i wish it were that easy but i've tested the same web
pages on other computers to see if that was the problem
but the images display fine. If i view the properties of
the images that won't display it says that the type of
image is not available, along with the size dates created
and modified.
Any more advice?
