Hi,
I have a question about ghosting. Is it possible to
ghost my file from a Windows 95 machine, i.e. files and
games to a new Windows XP machine? I want to keep all of
my files, games etc, but move them to a new computer with
a different OS.

Thanks,
B

Ghost takes a 'snapshot' of a specific drive or partition not files.

Ghost wouldn't be your ideal tool for doing that, though you could make it
work, if you tried hard enough.

If you just want to move files and settings, your best bet is the Files and
Settings Transfer Wizard (or User State Migration Tool, if you're a systems
administrator). That will help you migrate your data to your new computer,
though I'm not sure that FAST runs on Windows 95. I know that USMT does,
however.

Do a Google search for both of them, and you should come up with a great
deal of information.
